Broken wings and legs, ingrown feathers, feather lumps, overgrown beaks and nails. Heat stroke, tumors and mites. Cramps in the legs due to an overly small cage.
If the bird has white nails, it will be easy to see the blood vessel--DO NOT clip below the quick. (Do not cut below the quick or it will bleed and be painful--be sure your nail clippers are sharp). If the nail bleeds, use Wonder dust, baking powder or cornstarch to stop the bleeding fast. Never cut more then 1/3 of the entire length of any toenail, no matter how overgrown.
