1/2 cup baby carrots
1/2 cup diced sweet potatoes
1/2 cup snap peas
1/2 cup bell peppers
1/2 cup green beans
3 cups unsalted chicken broth
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 can unsalted cooked albacore tuna
Heat the olive oil in a heavy stockpot over medium heat. Add all vegetables until they are caramelized. Let simmer for 30 minutes or until the potatoes can easily be pierced with a fork. Add fish to heat through. Cool slightly and pour the soup into dog bowls. If it is too thick, add a bit more chicken broth. Play around with the ingredients and make it interesting! Use it in addition to your dog’s dry food or serve as a treat! Will keep in refrigerator for 3-4 days. Freeze up to 2 months.
What Humans Can Learn From Their Pets
Animals don't have to worry about stepping out of their comfort zones to survive and thrive. They just do it. Animals are blind to each others differences and can be more emotionally fit for it. Animals aren't uncomfortable with the sound of silence. Animals know the benefit of letting their minds wander. Animals operate on experience and instinct to survive and thrive.
Dogs work hard - different breeds have other jobs to do like pull the sleds, herd other animals, sniff out termites, rescue dogs, hunt truffles, detect bombs and sniff out drugs. Alert us to health conditions. All of the animals are true to themselves. Animals don't worry about how long they are going to live or what tomorrow will bring. Most of the animal kingdom lives in the moment.
