Dogs Can Get What Is Called Twisted Stomach
A twisted stomach is the number two killer of dogs.
Twisted stomach pinches off the blood supply and causes a host of other dangers to the animal’s health.
Twisted stomach condition is extremely life threatening.
Dogs that have a deep chest and a small waist are at risk.
Feeding smaller meals several times a day is the best option for reducing the risk.
What contributes to it is excessive amounts of food or water and too much activity after eating.
Give the dog a caplet of Phazyme if you have one in the house and take it to the vet immediately.
You will notice that the dog will start to pass gas and sometimes it will pass gas from both ends.
Rescue Remedy, a combination of flower essences that is absorbed through the mucous membranes of the mouth, may help ease the shock and trauma. Be sure you take the dog to the vet or animal emergency center.
The quicker a bloating dog gets professional treatment the better.
Signs and symptoms to look for: belly bloating, pale gums, anxious behavior, depression, abdominal pain and distention, collapse, excessive drooling, and vomiting to the point of unproductive dry heaving. In some cases, there is labored breathing, rapid heartbeat, and weak pulse.

Why Dogs Put Their Tails Between Their Legs
The way dogs communicate what they are thinking or feeling is through physical actions and cues.
When you see the dog with head hanging low and the tail between the legs it is displaying an apology.
When the dog knows that you are upset with it and you shout it will tuck its tail between the legs feeling nervous, venerable, shameful, embarrassed and submissive for doing something wrong or the dog is frightened that the owner is going to hurt it.
The dog will lower it's tail or might even tuck it between his rear legs if it feels nervous in a new environment or if there is a stranger near by.
If the dog is scared, it will hold its tail tight against its belly.  This is a position the dog takes around a dominant animal or person.
Both female and male dogs tuck their tails to signify submission.
