Keep the table and unattended plates of food and alcoholic drinks away from your pets. Be sure to secure the lids on the garbage cans.
If the pets are not used to being around a lot of people, it can be very stressful for them. Put the pets in another room where they can relax with their toys. When you have the guest come and go your pet could slip out the door, be sure you have a current identification tag on your pet.
Keep holiday decorations out of the pets reach that could be harmful if chewed or ingested.
Stuff a kong with doggie treats. Stuff a cat toy with cat treats or catnip.
