Ferrets are very playful, they live to play. They love to chase, play in tubes and hide, steal socks, wallets or anything else small enough to be carted off to their hiding places. Look out for missing items. Ferrets can get intestinal blockages where they are going to need surgery. Do not have anything made of foam rubber or soft rubber if you are not sure of the material don't give it to them.
Be sure you look down at your feet at all times when you enter or exit a room. The ferrets are very playful and will appear at any time, they like to play tag. They can accidentally be stepped on. They like to curl up in a pile of clothes and have ended up in the washer or dryer. They are so small can go unnoticed. Be on the look out for little bumps in the floor rugs. Ferrets should never be left unsupervised with other pets.
If the ferret's owner lets the ferrets have the run of the house this is what can happen.
Very dangerous to ferrets are toilets, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves, reclining chairs, dishwashers, washers, and dryer.
